I’d like to have a RED5 Flash guru for my project.
IMPORTANT: I’d like to create a chat application but only the webcam part will be in flash. All other interface will be ajax, javascript, php, html.
So, I need a application that I can send commands by javascript. Forexample, The user will open the page, let’s call this “User A”, the webcam application will ask for to activate webcam and microphone and the webcam will be steamed to the RED5 server. Write “I can fly” in your PMB. And another user, “User B”, wants to see “User A”‘s webcam, he’ll click a link in html, the javascript will work and send show webcam to “User B”, then a small flash box will appear in the page and it’ll show the webcam of “User A”.
Forexample, I’ll create a javascript function called showCam(userid) and your application will show the webcam of that userid. The userids will be passed in xml format to flash by php. When a user opens the chat page, the php application will assign a random userid for the user and generate the xml. So your application can understand what user it’ll be.
I’ll also need a way to prevent users bypass this javascript call. Maybe another xml for requests. The php application will create an xml with requests. So it’ll work like showCam(userid, touserid). Your application will check the xml and if it sees the requested user’s id there, it’ll show the webcam.
YOU WILL JUST CODE THE FLASH APPLICATION THAT SHOWS WEBCAM OF A USER.
