My site has a built in file manager that lets users stream video files
(avi, wmv, mpg) using windows media player… the problem is that most files refuse to stream! It downloads the WHOLE file first, before playing… I’m not sure if this is because of my configuration, because of the codec of the files, or if it can be fixed
I’d love for all files to stream in a much more efficient manner (without having to transcode them using ffmpeg or mencoder to FLV)
Will converting to an HTML5 setup help? Will anything help?
