Hello,
We currently have a script in the ZenCart Admin that pulls data from an XML Product Data feed and loads it into the ZenCart Database into one master category.
We would like a new admin module created (and added to the ‘Tools’ category in the admin) that lists all the categories and subcategories from our ZenCart Database, and next to each category/sub-category allows us to edit keywords that are relevant to each respective category.
When the script executes by pressing ‘update’ button, it will go through all the products in the database, and for each category, if the keyword(s) we input are contained in any of our product titles or descriptions, it will add the product to the category that is assigned to it via the keyword(s) we inputted (it will also have the option of either copying the products, or linking the products).
EXAMPLE:
Say we have the categories Seiko Watch with sub categories of Seiko Mens, Seiko Womens.
Here is an example of part of the desired script interface in the ZenCart Admin:
ID CATEGORY KEYWORD
———————————————————–
1 Seiko seiko,Seiko
2 Seiko Mens seiko men,seiko Men,Seiko Men…
3 Seiko Womens seiko women,seiko ladies,seiko lady, ….
So the script will go through and for each category, if there exists a product in the database with those keywords listed next to it within the product title or product description, it will be added to that category (and give us the option of either copying or linking).
We look forward to working with you and have several other projects on the horizon.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Gabe
