I have a php website script that is having paypal issues. It sends the user to pay to paypal, it shows the fees, it processes the payment into my paypal business account however the website does not recognize the payment nor does it record the payment transaction in the admin panel. When I click on the “return to website” link the website shows a “denied” error message. The developer also has it where the paypal transaction number shows on the payments log and it does not. This worked on the programmers test server but not on mine and he left on vacation. He emailed me this yesterday:
“If your other programmer has experience with PayPal API, he should be able to debug it by checking the “IPN return” (tell him this). But I’m 100% sure that the problem lies within the live PayPal API, cause it worked fine for me using sandbox.”
Of course I don’t know 100% if this is the answer or not so this could be a 20 minute fix or could be a 2 hour fix none the less I need this resolved since I need QA to start on this project asap.
