Project: Overhaul Web Interface for Document Dispatch Application

The application at http://www.documentdispatch.com processes email messages, their attachments, and routes or dispatches messages to operators as work. As the work is completed, the operators can clear the messages from their work queue.
The application is built in java using Google App Engine and the visuals are a combination of primitive HTML and Google Visualizations.
The purpose of this project is to overhaul the web interface for this application. The resulting interface should be more aesthetically pleasing, highly usable, simple, and compatible with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome.
I am looking for operational interfaces that I will be able to integrate into my JSP files. The preferred technology is Google Web Toolkit – however, I’m not a web UI developer and I’m flexible with regards to the technology. In your bid, please explain the technology you would intend to use for this project.
