I have been doing tedious operations with batches of CSV files. It mostly involves simple procedures like searching and replacing text, inserting and deleting columns and rows, and combining data from different columns to make a new column. (I’ve been doing this using a spreadsheet)
I am looking to automate this tedious process with a php script. If you have experience in manipulating CSV files, I would like to hire you for this small job.
I am thinking of dumping the CSV files in a folder on a server, letting the script run, and then having it spit the output CSV files out in another folder.
Basically, it’s a simple process:
1) Open a CSV file with 1 column of 100+ keyword phrases (rows) and remove junk characters (like #$&’)
2) Combine each keyword phrase with a url, replace spaces with underscore and insert as new column #2
3) Append a random prefix phrase (from another CSV file) to keyword phrase, and insert as new column #3
4) Save as new CSV file
5) From original file, insert blank column before column with keyword phrases, append label to file name and save as new CSV file
