i am running a project that requires me recording whether people have attended a gym session or not. each week i e mail a group saying we’ll be holding a fitness class in a certain place, I then tell them I only have 25 places available so it works on a first come first served basis. those that e mail me back the quickest get to attend.
I need to come up with a personalised mark that I email these successful consumers which will then allow me to scan it at the event to tell me they turned up.
For instance the ideal would be when someone signs up I e mail them a barcode. in the email i ask them to take a picture of the barcode on their mobile. when they come to the event they show us this barcode on their phone and we scan it.
the barcode holds information such as who they are etc. everytime they attend a session and the barcode is scanned it should sync with a database and attribute 1 point for everytime they attend.
require someone to build a simple system that I can manage. need a simple system to obviously create the barcodes and assign them to each individual.
doesn’t need to be barcodes so if other ideas please suggest. just needs to be e mailed to them and put on their phone easily.
