Materials Collection: Mental Ray Procedural Tiles 1×2 Color Noise

  • Tested in 3D MAX 2009 and above
  • Materials are ready to use with Mental Ray render
  • All materials are designed using procedural maps only
  • All maps in materials are set for Explicit Map Channel
  • You should use UVW modifiers to set tile size
  • System Unit Scale: Millimeters
  • Enable Gamma Correction: Gamma 2,2

Default preview of the material doesn’t use tiling when maps are using Explicit Map Channel.
To use an option of tiling display in Material Editor, it is recommended to tick ‘Use
Real-World Map Size for Geometry Samples’ in Options, and set small values for Render Sample Size, e.g. 2,0mm.
