This mesh was designed to be a water splash. That’s why it has droplets at some spots. Droplets are dominant in fluids like water because the surface tension in this fluids changes their shapes stronger to spheres than the viscosity can keep it to a complex shape. Therfore this model is very accurate. Feel free to use it as any fluid you like though. It’s edges are designed to allow you good looking non transparent materials, such as paint too!
This fluid like mesh was set up in Realflow 2013 and meshed with the 3ds max plug-in Frost. The generated mesh has been transformed into objects with 3 levels of detail:
A .max file has been included too. The “ProOptimizer” modi will allow you to change level of detail by percentage of Vertexes or by Vertex count. All other file formats have 3 levels of detail generated for you:
However if you want to generate your own mesh, I have included the original .bin file from Realflow. It’s about 8 MB large and is defined by ~76k particles.
This item ONLY INCLUDES ONE SPLASH with different levels of detail. All images in the previews are from a single mesh. Only their materials and resolution differ. Please keep in mind: NO MATERIALS/LIGHT SETUP/STUDIO/ANIMATION is included in this item.
