It displays recent/top donors and donation button (it also can display full list of donors as a table or comma separated string). Installation

Let’s imagine that you have website: http://www.website.com/ and you want to install there.

1. Create folder “donationcontest” (use any other name) in root of your domain. Once created it can be reached by URL : http://www.website.com/donationcontest/

2. Unpack zip-archive into this folder and set permission 0777 for folder “data”. To make sure that you did everything correctly, open URL http://www.website.com/donationcontest/ in browser, you will see phrase: “Silence is the gold!”.

3. Edit config.php and set 6 parameters: script URL (http://www.website.com/donationcontest/), title of widget, your PayPal ID, number of recent donors, currency and target to reach.

4. Embed widget into any page of any website with any of the following modes (you can see all this modes on “Live Preview” page):

Description

One of the problems you can have when running a WordPress blog or web page is that the most of your audience usually read your updates using the blog RSS feed (with Google Reader for instance). One inconvenience of this is that the users get only the post content, and they don’t see the rest of your page. This includes all that space you have dedicated to your advertisers on it.

Monetize your Feed will help you to maximize the audience for those banners inserting your ads in the RSS feed of your blog or web page. Even more. You can select which banner is inserted in any post if you want using shortcodes. Or insert category-related banners for each post.

Use this to sell this new space to your advertisers, or even to inform your reader about new sections on your blog, important updates, etc. This is what we call a Feed Ad.

Creating a Feed Ad is as easy as creating a post with a Featured Image. Or just use only-text banners.

Selection modes

Monetize Your Feed works looking for a suitable Feed Ad to be inserted in each of your posts for the RSS feed. This is done depending on the Selection modes setted in this Setup page.
These rules are evaluated in order. Where one of the rules is satisfied the Feed Ad is inserted and no more rule is evaluated

Shortcode selection mode

If selected, when you insert the shortcode [feed-ad] in your post content, a Feed Ad will be inserted in that position. When reading the blog content on a web browser, nothing will appear in it. You will only see it in the RSS feed.
Take in account that if you insert a shortcode and the Shortcode selection mode is selected, no other Feed Ad will be inserted unless other [feed-ad] shortcode is used in the same post

You can specify a Feed Ad ID to insert a specific banner in the content. Just use the ID parameter in the shortcode as this:
[feed-ad id=<ID>]

Categories selection mode

You can assign your Feed Ads with one or more categories. If you set it up, the categories list of every post will be evaluated looking for a Feed Ad with one or more of those assigned to it. If so, a random Feed Ad for that category will be inserted.

For instance: imagine your blog has 2 categories: Food and Beverages. You can assign “Food” category for a Feed Ad about some food company, and Beverages to another Feed Ad related to drinks. With that, you can be sure that a relevant banner will be shown for any of the posts.

Only one Feed Ad will be shown in this mode.

Random selection mode

For the rest of posts where no short code is used or no Feed Ad is assigned to any of its categories, the random selection mode will be used if set up.

Only one Feed Ad will be inserted in this mode.

Envato Marketplace Shop is an intuitive and flexible tool which you can use either on your website or separate to show off your items you’re selling in any of the Envato Marketplaces. It is specifically designed for Envato authors as it cannot be useful for other things but Envato related API operations. At it’s core, has a PHP Class which does almost anything this item is capable of.

Beside the main role of this item, which is displaying your items in a more appealing way, it’s also capable of other API related operations:

• @user_items_by_site ~ You can use it to fetch data ( number figures ) about some user’s items ( the ones he has for sale)
• @new_files_from_user ~ Fetch the items the user has for sale, but by marketplace
• @item_details ~ Grab details about some item by calling this method applied to the item’s id
• @user_information ~ Get some general information about an user by applying the method to the username
• @get_all_items_by_site ~ Fetch all the items a user has for sale by site, and all data about those items
• @get_all_items ~ Fetches all the items the user has for sale but not organized on marketplace, and all data about the items
• @account_information ~ Display your account information after setting up the files and configuring the envato config files
• @verify_purchase ~ Verify if one has purchased your item by one providing the purchase code, it returns false if incorrect or data about the purchase if succesful
• @earnings_by_month ~ It gets some general figures about user’s sales by month
• @statement ~ Fetches all data about everything a user sold or got in the past 30 days
• @fetch_products_from_table ~ It fetches all the items the user has for sale from the database, it updates if two hours has passed since last requested
• @fetch_account_info_from_table ~ It fetches account information about the user which is stored in the database and updated each two hours since last requested

The operations above are just some basic API operations which are handled witch cURL, because the main purpose is displaying the items you have for sale in a more appealing way. All you need is your private API key and your username to make it work.

Furthermore, it is also integrated with an open source jQuery plugin, developed by Luis Almeida ( he also helped integrating it ) which makes it even more fun browsing through the items. And it can be configured to adapt to any screen size you wish just by changing a few options in the plugin. It has extensive options which are very easy to adjust and you can learn more about it on the project page ( found down in the resources ). And most importantly it has awesome CSS3 animations which are merged together with the jQuery plugin.

For those using a CSS framework, I have developed the styles with LESS , so it can be easier to edit if needed or to do any changes you may want to do. And for viewing the preview images for each item, I have integrated the jQuery Lightbox Evolution for making the user interface as friendly and fun as possible. It is purchased with Extended License so you can use it without problems on your website or your client’s website, but you cannot sell it further without having the Extended License too.
