I want a combined JavaScript and HTML script that issues a query to the Microsoft Bing API using the JSON protocol and renders the response within the Javascript. Essentially, I want the HTML to host a search box so that an end-user issues a query, is handled by the Bing API, JSON results are parsed in the embedded JavaScript, and the HTML results are returned to the user. I don’t have access to a PHP hosted server therefore XML or SOAP is NOT an option. You can get the documentation, getting started and required App ID from the Bing developer’s site at www dot bing dot com slash developers. This project should not take longer than 2 hours. I did it with XML in 1.5 hours. I suspect you’ll use a JQuery library or equivalent

I do professional photography work and some of the work I do is shoot pictures of people competing at ballroom competitions. During those competitions, pictures are downloaded from the cameras and put on a central computer for people to view and order prints. The printing is NOT done onsite and they are shipped to the customer 1-2 weeks after the comp is over. The age range and nationality of these people is all over the place and their writing is generally horrendous. I used a paper order form in the past where they wrote the filename in the form and told me if they wanted an 4×6, 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, Low Res or High Res download. People would fill out the forms and I couldn’t read their writing and they would put the wrong filenames down and the wrong pictures were sent (costing me money).

This is my plan. I will have 3-6 iPads (Wifi Versions) for people to view the pictures. There is NO APP FOR THIS, so I need to see if someone can build a website script that can allow the users to browse the photos on the ipad, click add to cart and then fill in their info and it sends it to a local printer or makes a pdf on the machine with the script. I will have a Windows 7 laptop with me also, so keep in mind that I can install apache, mysql, whatever you like to make this work. The site should also be able to handle 10-20,000 photos (not all in the same gallery, but sub galleries).

I don’t need credit card processing or anything like that built into it, just add to cart, customer info (name, addy, email, phone) and a file/print (file might be better for long term storage) that shows the customer info and MAYBE a thumbnail of the print they ordered so that it confirms that is the right one. All the credit card, cash and check processing will be taken care of seperately.

On another note, if you want to make an iPad app that I can load pix to the iPads, I would be ok with that too.

We want web site to be developed for rental and second hand resell purpose.
We will provide details and docs to interested and selected bidder, but broadly we want following functionalities to be developed:

1. Account Management (owner/renter/admin/guest) and notifications (example: booking status update, pending action eg. Feedback after transaction).

2. Item positing with relevant details (Items are posted/searched and stored with category and sub-category. Item can contain various different kind of information eg photo, title, details, pricing, etc.)

3. Ability to search and book an item (marking item unavailable on already booked dates etc). there could be multiple search criteria eg based on category, sub-category, location, rating, price etc.

4. Payment gateway related functionality. NOT REQUIRED. We will do it ourselves.

5. List an item based on some algorithm/criteria which we will provide in detailed document/description.

6. Ability to identify most viewed/transacted items.

7. Able to store and manage ratings of individual, transaction and of an item.

8. Ability to Link/Share an item to external community network eg facebook, twitter, mail etc.

9. It should be generic to support multiple languages (Static contents in other language will be provided by us but programmatically it should be capable to handle multiple languages).

10. User viewing item details should be able to view related items as well along with it.

Code should be properly documented and we expect standard guidelines to be followed for naming conventions, packaging etc.

Please note that db schema already has storage defined for relevant values for most transacted items, ratings etc. It just needs to be looked up based on algorithm.

There may be some changes in DB Schema at later stages of development but current schema should be good enough to provide a foundation.

– We will hold back 40% of the amount until all test cases passes.
– All deliverables are completed and delivered at mutually agreed timeline.
