The 1961 Lincoln X100 Kennedy Car had a variety of tops that allowed the president to ride in complete closed privacy, open visibility with exposure to the elements or completely in the open. The highly modified car was built by Ford’s advanced Vehicles group and Hess & Eisenhardt, following specifications and instructions set down by the Secret Service. The car started out as a stock 1961 Lincoln Continental four-door Model 74A convertible.
